Position Overview

The social media editor will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy on our social media to enhance our online presence, engage with key audiences, and promote the NEST Centre’s research and initiatives. You will work closely with our team of experts to communicate complex topics in an accessible and engaging manner across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a content strategy for social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, Substack, etc.) and our website .
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including posts, graphics, and threads.
  • Collaborate with analysts and researchers to translate complex research findings into clear and engaging social media content.
  • Monitor and analyse social media trends, engagement metrics, and audience insights to optimise performance.
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster discussions on key issues related to the Centre’s research areas.
  • Plan and coordinate digital campaigns to increase visibility and engagement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media editing, or content creation
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and audience engagement strategies
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English. Knowledge of Russian language is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create compelling content tailored to different audiences and platforms
  • Ability to process and synthesise large volumes of information
  • Understanding of global affairs and political science is an advantage
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus
