Micro-Grant Call for Articles Based on MA/PhD Theses

Overview
The NEST Centre welcomes rigorous, policy-relevant analysis on Russia and the wider Eurasian context. Micro-grants are available to support editing, data verification, and publication on our website.
Requirements
- MA degree or PhD applicant in international relations, political science, sociology, or related fields.
- Current residence outside of Russia.
- Original work based on your dissertation research.
Applications should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line: “Thesis Article Grant — [Your Surname]” and attach:
- Pitch (300–400 words): set out the research question, method, key findings, and why it matters now; specify which chapter(s)/section(s) of the dissertation the article draws on (chapter/page references helpful).
- Academic CV.
- Optional: figures or tables you plan to include.
We are seeking candidates with the following research interests
- Political processes within Russia.
- Social dynamics in Russia.
- War economy and industrial capacity
- Analysis of Russia’s foreign policy.
