John Foreman is a NEST Centre Associate Fellow. He most recently served as the UK Defence Attaché to the Russian Federation, providing strategic advice to Ministers and representing the UK Chief of Defence Staff. Previously, he was also UK Defence Attaché in Kyiv, and had military diplomatic appointments in the US, with NATO, and the EU. He served afloat on global maritime operations during his Royal Navy career, commanding two warships.
